Trekking along the Markha River through "Little Tibet," one of the world's highest inhabited plateaus, you take in spectacular views of the Great Himalayan, Ladakh and Zanskar ranges. You will cross two high passes at elevations up to 17,400'. Trails wind past willow groves, alongside patches of wild roses and through pastel canyons festooned with multi-hued prayer flags undulating in the breeze. Rajasthan Trekking - There are many beautiful meadows, dense forests, crystal lakes, waterfalls and rivulets meandering through the countryside. One of the oldest mountain ranges of the world, the Aravallis, extending from north-east to south-west have some beautiful forest areas.
Mount Abu, about 1300 mts. Above sea level is an ideal locale. Kumbhalgarh is another area in the Aravllis which is also good for trekking. Kumbhalgarh is just 90 kms from Udaipur off the Udiapur-Pali-Jodhpur road. Trek upto the historic Kumbhalgarh fort.
There is also a wildlife of the Aravallis. One can trek from Abu road to Guru Shikhar (the highest peak of Aravallis), Thandi Beri to Kumbhalgarh fort or Ranakpur to Rawali Tatgarh. The best time for trekking in Rajasthan is from November to February. But mid-September to end of October is also pleasant. There is ample space for camping under starlit nights or in the Dak Bungalow and Forest Rest House depending on the tourists preference. |

| The most popular trek originating from Sonamarg is the Kashmir Lake Trek. It covers the lakes of Gangabal, Vishansar, Kishansar, and close to the Harrnukh peak. The trail first crosses the Nichinai Pass (13 ,387 ft) and then enters the alpine valleys that eventually lead to the Gangabal Lake. Vishansar, Vishnu's Lake, is just over 12,000 ft and slightly larger than the 12,500 ft Kishansar, Krishna's Lake. Gangabal lake is the highlight of this trip. Protected by the three peaks of Mount Harrnukh, Gangabal is 5 miles in circumference and offers the finest trout fishing anywere in Kashmir. |

| Beas Kund Trekking |
Beas Kund is the source of the River Beas, although the main rivulet rising from the Beas Kund is called Solang Nallah, till it joins the stream flowing down from RohtangPass. The trek to Beas Kund is along the Solang Kund.
This trek to Beas Kund through the Solang Valley is an easy trail that mender through some of the most beautiful mountainscapes in Himachal. According to a local legend Rishi Ved Vyas meditated here and wrote the famous epic The Mahabharat. Solang Valley is a must-see on itinerary of anyone visiting Manali. Its ski slopes attract winter sports enthusiasts while other settles for joy rides on snow scooters. About 2½ km from the Mountaineering Institute of Skiing at Solang, a natural Shivalingam of ice forms every winter and becomes a place of pilgrimage. The height of the lingam varies from year to year (10 – 18 ft).
